Pure Chinese camellia oil is recommended for knife care because it has special properties which condition the hand-made Nesmuk blades and wooden handles. This 100% botanic, edible and natural product is acid and water-free, non-resinous, non-volatile and very economical to use. It is ideal for preservation and only a thin film has to be applied to effectively protect the blade against corrosion. Camellia oil should only be used to condition the handles of the Nesmuk JANUS, Diamor® and SOUL knives.
